Authors: FERREIRA, Bruno de Castro; SILVA, Evandro Alves da
Abstract: The brake systems of general cargo cars have a high importance in the safety of operations, acting together with the locomotives, promoting the control of train provisions within the operational limits. In the case of train cars, the brake system needs to be designed to keep the entire train balanced on the ramps, without causing any damage to the wheels or the balance of the whole as a whole. Brake failures can cause serious damage, compromising cargo, safety, operation and the environment. In the Center-East corridor, failures in the brake system represent the majority of restrictions on the wagons, impacting physical availability, the high number of maneuvers and the cost of maintenance. The article aims to present a study of failure modes in a freight car brake system in the Center-East corridor. The tool used in the analysis was the FMEA (Analysis of Failure Modes and their Effects), which consists of assembling a classification of the brake system components, their failure modes and organizing them in a priority matrix. The survey data were obtained through the history of faults in the corridor, bibliographic research and field data collection by employees and experts in the railway sector. The purpose of the article is to identify the main failure modes that occur in the components of the brake system using the RPN (Risk Priority Number), thus being able to propose actions to reduce the risks to the operations.
Description: Os sistemas de freio dos vagões de carga geral possuem elevada importância na segurança das operações, atuando em conjunto com as locomotivas, promove o controle das velocidades do trem dentro dos limites operacionais. No caso dos vagões de um trem, o sistema de freio precisa estar projetado para manter todo o comboio equilibrado nas rampas, sem causar qualquer dano às rodas ou ao equilíbrio do conjunto como um todo. As falhas no freio podem acarretar danos graves, comprometendo a carga, segurança, operação e o meio ambiente. No corredor Centro-Leste, as falhas no sistema de freio representam a maior parte das restrições nos vagões, impactando na disponibilidade física, no elevado números de manobras e no custo de manutenção. O artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar um estudo de análise dos modos de falhas em sistema de freio de vagões de carga no corredor Centro-Leste. A ferramenta utilizada na análise foi o FMEA (Análise dos Modos de Falha e seus Efeitos), que consiste em montar uma classificação dos componentes do sistema de freio, seus modos de falha e organizar em uma matriz de prioridade.&#xD;

Abstract: This article aims to propose an innovative product called Solar backpack, low&#xD;
cost with raw material, sustainable and economical, integrated into the portable&#xD;
system, using high conversion rate solar energy resulting in clean energy.&#xD;
One of the best ways to produce energy without harming the environment, our&#xD;
focus is to recharge cell phones and or batteries using photovoltaic plates&#xD;
attached to bags, The use of solar energy applied to systems that require higher&#xD;
temperatures occurs through solar concentrators, whose purpose is to capture&#xD;
solar energy consequently generating electrical energy.&#xD;
our target audience are those travelers who are often located in places where&#xD;
solar energy is not present, remote places, would also be useful for Energy /&#xD;
Water Meter Readers.&#xD;
The technology is known as articulated polycrystalline photovoltaic plates that&#xD;
produce energy in direct current, after having access to the light sources of&#xD;
solar radiation, which converts light energy into low-cost electrical energy. The&#xD;
prototype is based on clean cell phone recharging and can be exchanged for&#xD;
residential chargers, thus generating more savings in the long run. This&#xD;
prototype has low maintenance costs and does not emit pollutants into the&#xD;
atmosphere.

Abstract: In Brazil, the irrigation sector is responsible for approximately 75% of water consumption, thus improving irrigation techniques is essential. In the last decades there has been a very large growth in irrigated agriculture in the country, due to the importance of saving water resources, automated irrigation projects have been created in order to monitor and control the crop. This study aims to identify the most innovative way to control water waste in agriculture. The specifics are: to carry out a bibliographic search of the most used irrigation methods, to check the pros and cons and the costs of implementing the existing irrigation systems, to carry out a survey of the best irrigation method that can reduce water waste. It is concluded that the development of an automated irrigation system using the Arduíno platform, is of great use, because in addition to the ease of use and access to this technology, it also enables the development of a precise and low cost system allowing farmers to small and large the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the system.

Abstract: The pulp industries are major consumers and producers of electricity and are among the largest industrial sectors in the world. The generation of energy can exceed the consumption of the place, being commercialized, or present a deficit in relation to consumption, requiring the purchase of concessionaires. Whether for the positive or negative balance, the purchase or sale of energy represents a significant amount in the cash cost. Optimizations in the field of electrical generation become constant and necessary to increase the company's competitiveness. The present work sought to evaluate the increase in energy efficiency and the reduction of the energy consumption of pumps in a cellulose industry, through the operational modification in the discharge line of the cellulose digesters and washer filters. For the analysis of this research, the occurrences in the description of the ACD were observed, from June 2019 to June 2020. In the development of the work, it was verified, through the qualitative data, which were the biggest motivators of the cellulose diversion among the digester discharge and the storage towers. As a result, it was found that 80% of the events that led to the deviation of the production system were caused by operational failure. Analyzing the data, the gains generated by the project for the pulp production process were confirmed, with a potential reduction in the energy consumption required by plant “B” in the order of 731.62 MW/year, viability of implementing the project where it is possible to fully recover the investment, generate cash and increase the energy efficiency of the industrial plant.</summary>
