This work is characterized as qualitative research, as the objectives can be considered as a descriptive and exploratory research, semi-structured research scripts were used with the two creators, a volunteer and two project instructors, in order to achieve the objectives, the interviews audio files were recorded using the WhatsApp messaging application and transcribed using Microsoft Office Word (2013 version). As a result, it was possible to contact that those involved in the organization of the project are very intimate with surfing and, in addition to a great desire to develop environmental education with the project's children, the initial objectives were partially achieved. In the beginning, the difficulties of the project are found in acquiring materials for surfing and getting support or sponsorship, but the biggest difficulty that currently haunts the project is the interpersonal relationships of the organizers and lack of commitment. Description: O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi analisar como se deu a criação do projeto “Amigos do Cora”, buscando entender as dificuldades enfrentadas noinício, caracterizar seus conceitos e metas além de compreender o papel do surf como ferramenta de educação ambiental, dentro do projeto. Este trabalho se caracteriza como uma pesquisa qualitativa, quanto aos objetivos pode se considerar como uma pesquisa descritiva e exploratória, foram utilizados roteiros de pesquisa semiestruturadas com os dois idealizadores, uma voluntaria e dois instrutores do projeto, a fim de atingir os objetivos, as entrevistas de áudio foram gravadas com o aplicativo de mensagem WhatsApp e transcritos utilizando Microsoft Office Word (versão 2013). Como resultado foi possível contatar que os envolvidos na organização do projeto tem muita intimidade com o surf e além de grande vontade de desenvolver a educação ambiental com as crianças do projeto, em partes os objetivos iniciais foram atingidos. Nos primórdios as dificuldades do projeto se encontram em adquirir materiais para a pratica do surf e conseguir apoio ou patrocínio porem a maior dificuldade que assombra o projeto atualmente são as relações interpessoais dos organizadores e falta de comprometimento. Precisamos entender que os grupos sociais como o transtorno do espectro autista (TEA) são os mais prejudicados principalmente pelo fato da mudança drástica em sua rotina. Nosso intuito é mostrar que essas pessoas apesar de suas diferenças conseguem levar uma vida normal como socializar – se e desenvolver – se através de tratamentos para que consiga realizar seus afazeres do dia a dia e assim se tornar uma pessoa independente. A escolha do tema se deu através do amor por essa área e também pela promissão que ela pode provê, porque tem se notado que há uma grande demanda para este publico, pois, a cada dia o número de pessoas portadoras do TEA só aumenta; vimos isso na pesquisa em que realizamos através de uma entrevista por meio de um formulário na associação de pais e amigos dos excepcionais (APAE). Após a pesquisa percebemos que cada família utilizou um tipo de estratégia frente à pandemia para lidar durante esse processo, pelo fato da mudança de rotina, algumas famílias tiveram muitas dificuldades para conseguir se sobressair de forma positiva de tal situação. Com isso, evidenciamos uma grande necessidade do investimento em estudos e praticas que tratem dessa especificidade para que essas famílias consigam enfrentar essa situação da melhor forma possível.
