The first period is characterized by the absence of adequate recognition of the rights of these groups, treating them as subjects incapable of exercising their citizenship. The study also comprehensively addresses the issue of violence against children and adolescents, highlighting its various forms, which include physical, sexual, psychological violence and neglect. The detailed exploration of each category of violence, based on research and expert authors, underscores the seriousness and complexity of this social problem. In addition, the study highlights the persistent challenges in the realization of the rights of children and adolescents. Although the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) represents an advanced legislation, these legal provisions are often unknown to the majority of the population and are not properly complied with by the competent authorities. This underscores the ongoing need for awareness and action to ensure effective enforcement of legislation and respect for the rights of children and adolescents. The study concludes that there has been a significant evolution in the approach and guarantee of the rights of children and adolescents in Brazil over time, going through three distinct periods in history. Description: Este estudo proporciona uma análise aprofundada da evolução dos direitos da criança e do adolescente no Brasil, percorrendo três períodos distintos ao longo da história. O primeiro período se caracteriza pela ausência de reconhecimento adequado dos direitos desses grupos, tratando-os como sujeitos incapazes de exercer sua cidadania. O estudo também aborda de forma abrangente a questão da violência contra crianças e adolescentes, destacando suas várias formas, que incluem violência física, sexual, psicológica e negligência. A exploração detalhada de cada categoria de violência, com base em pesquisas e autores especializados, ressalta a gravidade e a complexidade desse problema social. Além disso, o estudo destaca os desafios persistentes na efetivação dos direitos da infância e adolescência. The central problem of the research is the need to promote environmental awareness from the early years of education in order to develop more responsible and engaged citizens in environmental issues. The object of study focuses on Environmental Education in elementary schools. The general objective is to analyze the effectiveness of Environmental Education approaches in this context. The research adopts a qualitative methodology, including literature review, analysis of school curricula, and interviews with educators. The results indicate that, although Environmental Education is valued in theory, its practical implementation in elementary schools is limited. Hypotheses suggest that a lack of resources and proper training for educators may be a barrier. It is recommended to include more effective Environmental Education policies in curriculum guidelines and promote continuous training programs for teachers. O objeto de estudo concentra-se na Educação Ambiental em escolas de ensino fundamental. O objetivo geral é analisar a eficácia das abordagens de Educação Ambiental nesse contexto.
