OS IMPACTOS DA INDISCIPLINA NAS PRÁTICAS DE ENSINO E APRENDIZAGEM

Abstract

This paper presents a study on "The Impact of Indiscipline on the Teaching and Learning Process". Students’ indiscipline steadily grows as a product of a society in which human values such as respect, love, understanding, fraternity and family appreciation, among others,are ignored. This problem is present, daily, in the school environment. Teachers, coordinators and pedagogical teams seek to solve the cases of indiscipline in the classroom and in the school environment. This paper aims to reflect on the issue of indiscipline in schools and its implications, regarding the teaching and learning process, as well as to know the practices experienced by teachers in coping with indiscipline in the school environment, identifying what constitutes indiscipline, identifying problems that occur in school and that lead students to be considered undisciplined. These causes are linked to problems that are not only about school, but involves family and community. The study was carried out in two Espírito Santo State public schools of the municipality of Serra, through questionnaires, observations with students, teachers, pedagogues and coordinators. We believe that this study will allow teachers to reflect on the practices developed in the school, providing favorable paths for the transformation of these relationships, from a new look at the issue of indiscipline, that challenges the school and its social function of teaching and learning and to develop practices aimed at learning about social coexistence and citizenship.
