dc.description.abstract	The paper discusses the importance of playing in Early Childhood Education, as well as the role of the educator in this important phase of the child's life. The act of playing and a form of communication through which a child develops fully, in physical, social, cultural, affective, emotional or cognitive aspects. Through play the child can develop the requirements, such as attention, memory, imitation, imagination. More than that, she can develop areas of personality such as affectivity, motor skills, intelligence, sociability and creativity. The preschool teacher in context has the role of play guard. As difficulties and current in the schools of Infantile Education with regard to play refer especially to the lack of material, physical structure and qualified teacher. Therefore, it is emphasized the importance of playing in this age group and at the same time, a need for means that allow a better way of using the games. KEY WORDS: Education. Teacher. Play.	pt_BR
dc.description.sponsorship	O trabalho aborda a importância do brincar na Educação Infantil, bem como analisa o papel do educador nessa importante fase da vida da criança. O ato de brincar é uma forma de comunicação por meio da qual a criança se desenvolve integralmente, tanto no aspecto físico, como social, cultural, afetivo, emocional ou cognitivo. Por intermédio do brincar a criança pode desenvolver capacidades importantes, como a atenção, a memória, a imitação, a imaginação. Mais do que isso, ela pode desenvolver áreas da personalidade, como afetividade, motricidade, inteligência, sociabilidade e criatividade. O professor da Educação Infantil nesse contexto possui o papel de guardião do brincar. As dificuldades que existem atualmente nas escolas de Educação Infantil com relação ao brincar referem-se especialmente à falta de material, de estrutura física e de professor capacitado. Por isso se enfatiza a importância do brincar nessa faixa etária e, ao mesmo tempo, a necessidade de meios que permitam a melhor forma de utilização das brincadeiras.	pt_BR
