dc.description	A pesquisa apresentada buscou compreender a prática da capoeira como meio de socialização de crianças e jovens, entendendo o conceito desta arte afro-brasileira a partir das experiências no Centro Social São José de Calazans, situado no bairro Vila Nova de Colares, cidade de Serra (ES), onde foi possível observar a aplicabilidade da capoeira como um importante esporte de socialização. A Pesquisa contou com acompanhamento das aulas práticas e entrevista junto à direção do projeto, professor, Mestre e alunos. Conclui-se, portanto que o trabalho realizado junto a esses indivíduos, tende a proporcionar neles um ganho na qualidade de vida social, uma vez que tem o objetivo de contribuir para sua formação de transformação.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	The present research sought to understand the practice of capoeira as a means of socializing children and youngsters, understanding the concept of this Afro-Brazilian art from the experiences at the São José de Calazans Social Center, located in the Vila Nova neighborhood of Colares, city of Serra ES), where it was possible to observe the applicability of capoeira as an important sport of socialization. The research counted on the follow-up of practical classes and interviews with the project management, teacher, teacher and students. It is concluded, therefore, that the work done with these individuals tends to provide them with a gain in the quality of social life, since it has the objective of contributing to their formation of transformation.	pt_BR
