dc.description	O Atletismo nas aulas de educação física não tem o mesmo destaque de outras modalidades no âmbito escolar. No presente estudo pretendeu-se analisar a relação entre este conteúdo e a forma de abordagem nas aulas, por meio de dados obtidos através de entrevistas feitas à professores de escolas públicas da Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória – ES. Tais foram realizadas com dez professores de três escolas, localizadas na região da Grande Goiabeiras. Analisando os motivos apontados pelos professores para o “não trabalhar” com atletismo em suas aulas, buscamos através de referências bibliográficas mostrar que existem diversas possibilidades para trabalhar com o atletismo dentro das aulas de educação física escolar.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Athletics in physical education classes does not have the same prominence as other modalities in the school context. In the present study we aimed to analyze the relationship between the results through data obtained through interviews with teachers of public schools of the City Hall of Vitória - ES. These were carried out with ten teachers from three schools, located in the region of Grande Goiabeiras. Analyzing the reasons teachers indicated for "not working" with athletics in their classes, we searched through bibliographical references to show that there are several possibilities to work with athletics within the school physical education classes.	pt_BR
