dc.description	O presente trabalho aborda o câncer de mama o qual é considerada uma das doenças que mais preocupa as mulheres. O tratamento do câncer de mama afeta a vida da mulher em vários aspectos, principalmente na sexualidade. O câncer de mama acarreta danos físicos e psicológicos envolvendo não só o corpo da mulher, mas também aspectos relacionados à sua autoestima, que consequentemente poderá afetar a sexualidade. O tratamento gera, em alguns casos, prejuízos na sexualidade feminina e com isso a vida conjugal e social. Este estudo tem o objetivo de revisar a vivência da mulher com câncer de mama e os desconfortos com o tratamento relacionado à sexualidade, considerando a importância do acompanhamento psicológico em mulheres mastectomizadas. Foi realizada uma revisão de literatura, e o tratamento dos dados coletadas durante pesquisa ao acervo bibliográfico foi feito por meio de abordagem qualitativa. Os resultados evidenciaram que, após a retirada da mama, o desempenho sexual é comprometido, com redução da frequência de intercurso sexual nos primeiros estágios do tratamento e diminuição da excitação, interesse e satisfação sexual. A intervenção psicológica promove entendimento e suporte emocional frente ao diagnóstico e busca trabalhar com a paciente seus comportamentos de risco frente à doença propriamente dirá e ao tratamento.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	The present study addresses breast cancer, which is considered to be one of the diseases that most concern women. The treatment of breast cancer affects the life of the woman in several aspects, mainly in the sexuality. Breast cancer causes physical and psychological damage involving not only the woman's body, but also aspects related to her self-esteem, which can affect sexuality. The treatment generates, in some cases, damages in the feminine sexuality and with that the conjugal and social life. This study aims to review the experience of women with breast cancer and discomforts with treatment related to sexuality, considering the importance of psychological counseling in mastectomized women. A review of the literature was performed, and the treatment of the data collected during the research to the bibliographic collection was done through a qualitative approach. The results showed that after the withdrawal of the breast, sexual performance is compromised, with a reduction in the frequency of sexual intercourse in the early stages of treatment and decrease in arousal, interest and sexual satisfaction. Psychological intervention promotes understanding and emotional support in relation to the diagnosis and seeks to work with the patient's risk behaviors against the disease and treatment.	pt_BR
