dc.description	Psicologia jurídica é o termo mais utilizado no Brasil para se referir à atuação/relação de psicólogos (as) com o sistema judiciário. A psicologia jurídica é uma prática que está em crescimento no Brasil se comparada com as outras áreas de atuação, mas ainda carece de publicações sobre o assunto. A psicologia jurídica é dividida por áreas, sendo a psicologia forense uma delas e a mais presente em prisões e tribunais. As prisões se mantêm através do discurso de ressocialização do sujeito criminoso por meio da privação de sua liberdade, ao mesmo tempo em que as condições desse espaço impedem que esse objetivo seja alcançado. O presente trabalho objetiva analisar qual é o papel dos profissionais de psicologia no âmbito jurídico de modo geral e averiguar se existem dificuldades em exercer seu trabalho e quais são. Busca abordar o nascimento das prisões, punição ao corpo e à alma do condenado, questões ético-políticas da prática psicológica em como confeccionar laudos e pareceres ao mesmo tempo em que busca desenvolver uma prática que promova a saúde, o bem estar e os direitos na prisão, aborda as consequências do encarceramento para a subjetividade dos detentos e se a ressocialização é possível dentro desse espaço. Para tanto, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas sobre o tema e entrevistas semiestruturadas com dois profissionais da área, abordando questões sobre sua prática profissional dentro de uma instituição carcerária.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Legal psychology is the most used term in Brazil to refer to the role/relationship of psychologists with the justice system. Legal psychology is a practice that is growing in Brazil compared to other areas of activity and with few publications on the subject. Legal psychology is divided into areas, with forensic psychology being one of them and the most present in prisons and courts. The present work aims to analyze what is the role of psychology professionals in the legal field in general and to find out if there are difficulties in exercising their work and which ones are. Prisons are maintained through the discourse of resocialization of the criminal subject through the deprivation of their freedom, at the same time that the conditions of this space prevent this objective from being achieved. The work addresses the birth of prisons, punishment of the body and soul of the condemned, ethical-political issues of psychological practice such as making reports and opinions while seeking to develop a practice that promotes health, well-being and rights in prison, addresses the consequences of incarceration for the detainees' subjectivity and whether resocialization is possible within that space. To this end, bibliographic research on the subject and a semi-structured interview will be conducted with a professional who works in the area, addressing questions about his professional practice within a prison institution.	pt_BR
