FATORES PSICOSSOCIAIS RELACIONADOS À PERMANÊNCIA DE PESSOAS EM SITUAÇÃO DE RUA

Abstract

Homeless people can be defined as a group of persons who make their home in the streets of large and small cities around the world. The sistematic difficulty of accessing public policies faced by these people highlights the basic constitutional rights denial to them. This research aims to identify both psychological and social aspects related to this reality pointed in investigations carried in the area of psychology, especially subjects related to the experience of these people in the streets, eventual reasons that lead them to live in the streets and justifications for their permanence. Is also searched to analyze the conception of homeless people who guides the public policies. In order to achieve the proposed objective, a sistematic review on scientific journals on the area of psychology available on database Scielo was carried. Results show that living in the streets transcend alcohol and/or use of drugs, unemployment and broken family ties. The sub-human conditions in which these people live reflect on the constitution of identity, being affected by distorted social representations.
