Abstract:
Por meio dos avanços tecnológicos a indústria da construção civil tem um grande desafio diante da necessidade de expandir novas técnicas, buscando métodos construtivos, alternativas econômicas e tecnicamente mais eficientes para substituir os fechamentos convencionais de alvenaria, onde se destaca pela busca de obter maior produtividade, com custos reduzidos e com a qualidade e a garantia do
produto final, repassado ao consumidor. O drywall é uma alternativa por não utilizar água e nem argamassa, o que pode fazer com que a construção resulte em uma obra limpa e com pouco resíduo. Essa nova tecnologia fará com que a alvenaria convencional, perca espaço nas áreas internas das edificações. A utilização do drywall vem crescendo, mas apesar desse crescimento, ainda há uma grande carência de conhecimento dessa tecnologia construtiva no país. A divulgação de conhecimento técnico busca principalmente desmistificar em relação à durabilidade e fragilidade do sistema estudado. Desta forma o presente trabalho demonstrou as várias vantagens do sistema, tais como: à rapidez de execução, estrutura mais leve, facilidade de manutenção, redução de consumo de material, superioridade na eficácia do isolamento termo acústico, redução de mão de obra e consequentemente a redução de custo, sendo assim o drywall é o método mais econômico, mas, além das vantagens notam-se também desvantagens em ambos os métodos, cabe-se então, ao construtor e ao cliente avaliarem as diferenças e fazerem a escolha da
opção que atenda melhor ao empreendimento.
