dc.description	A pecuária leiteira representa uma das mais importantes atividades econômicas do Brasil. Devido ao crescimento da demanda por produtos de origem animal no mundo, o setor terá de buscar formas de aumentar a produção de leite para atender a essa demanda. Para atingir esse objetivo faz-se necessário que o produtor rural invista em melhorias no setor para assim obter uma melhor administração do seu negócio. A Fazenda Paulistinha, é uma propriedade rural de base familiar e está localizada no distrito de Fidelândia, no município de Ataléia, no estado de Minas Gerais. Atualmente o rebanho da fazenda é composto de 231 cabeças de gado, e o proprietário deseja implantar um novo sistema de produção na propriedade. Nesse sentido, o objetivo do trabalho foi analisar o funcionamento da propriedade que possuía um sistema de criação extensivo de forma eficiente na referida fazenda. Para atingir tal objetivo foi realizado um estudo sobre as estruturas, pastagens e manejos em geral da fazenda. Após esse estudo, foi realizado um planejamento com propostas de melhorias ou de implantação de um sistema de produção que atendesse o almejado. Ao final, concluiu-se que o planejamento estratégico é de suma importância para um gerenciamento efetivo da fazenda.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Dairy farming represents one of the most important economic activities in Brazil. Due to the growing demand for animal products in the world, the sector will have to look for ways to increase milk production to meet this demand. To achieve this goal, it is necessary for the rural producer to invest in improvements in the sector in order to obtain a better management of his business. The farm Paulistinha is a Family based rural property located in the district of Fidelândia, in the municipality of Ataléia, in the state of Minas Gerais. Currently, the farm's herd consists of 231 head of cattle, and the owner wants to implement a new production system on the property. In this sense, the objective of the work was to analyze the functioning of the property that had an extensive breeding system efficiently on the referred farm. To achieve this objective, a study was carried out on the structures, pastures and general management of the farm. After this study, a plan was carried out with proposals for improvements or the implementation of a production system that met the target. In the end, it was concluded that strategic planning is of paramount importance for effective management of the farm.	pt_BR
