dc.description	A pecuária no Brasil tem um relevante papel na economia com a comercialização de carne e leite. A criação de bovinos de corte, representa um processo em que o sucesso esta na promoção de animais com o desenvolvimento e crescimento bem-sucedido. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo deste estudo está em entender o processo de suplementação no processo de desenvolvimento deste animal, e as consequências da inserção de aditivos ionóforos ou não ionóforos na potencialização deste processo. Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico em livros, teses, dissertações de autores que versão sobre esta perspectiva, isso com objetivo de ter o aporte teórico necessário para compreender acerca desta temática. É visto que, a suplementação adequadamente nestes animais, tende a propiciar um fornecimento adequado de nutrientes para o animal, e como a inserção de aditivo mineral pode-se reduzir a idade de abate e melhoramento o seu desempenho, produzindo carcaças de melhor qualidade. A inserção de aditivos ionóforos como Monensina e Salinomicina ou aditivos não ionóforos como Virginiamicina e Flavomicina, mostram-se promissoras no facilitamento do desenvolvimento dos animais, todavia, é necessário mais estudo da análise da efetiva pelo profissional veterinário para indicação destes antibióticos na suplementação destes animais, evitando consequentes efeitos negativos ao ministrar estes aditivos.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Livestock in Brazil has an important role in the economy with the commercialization of meat and milk. The creation of beef cattle represents a process in which success lies in promoting animals with successful development and growth. In this perspective, the objective of this study is to understand the supplementation process in the development process of this animal, and the consequences of the insertion of ionophore or non-ionophore additives in the potentiation of this process. A bibliographical survey was carried out in books, theses, dissertations of authors that version on this perspective, this with the objective of having the necessary theoretical support to understand about this theme. It is seen that supplementation properly in these animals tends to provide an adequate supply of nutrients for the animal, and how the insertion of mineral additive can reduce the age of slaughter and improve its performance, producing better quality carcasses. The insertion of ionophore additives such as Monensin and Salinomycin or non-ionophore additives such as Virginiamycin and Flavomycin, show promise in facilitating the development of animals, however, further study of the analysis of the effectiveness by the veterinary professional is necessary for the indication of these antibiotics in the supplementation of these animals, avoiding consequent negative effects when administering these additives.	pt_BR
