Abstract:
Pneumonia is commonly seen in the veterinary clinic and is usually the result of management, environmental and dietary errors. To properly diagnose and treat a tortoise affected by pneumonia, it was necessary to use complementary exams such as x-rays and the treatment was based on what was studied in auxiliary literature. The owner reported that the tortoise had been attacked by a dog and decided to bring it in. there's the clinic. The animal was kept in a heated environment, and under monitoring, after the start of the clinical treatment there was a small improvement in the case followed by a later worsening, where the animal presented itself in a state of brumation, however it was verified that it was already in a process of death. The radiographs confirmed pneumonia, based on the anamnesis, physical examination and complementary examination presented, treatment was started with Enrofloxacin 2.5% (5mg/kg/SID/IM), Ketoprofen 10mg (2mg/kg/SID/SC) , Cerenia (1mg/kg/SID/SC), Gintamycin in nebulization (0.38ml + 15ml of Saline Serum / 30min.).

A infecção pulmonar comumente é observada na clínica veterinária e geralmente é resultado de erro de manejo, ambiental e alimentar. Para diagnosticar e tratar adequadamente um jabuti- piranga afetada por pneumonia, foi preciso exames complementares como o raio x e o tratamento foi baseado ao que foi estudado em literaturas auxiliares.O proprietário relatou que a jabuti havia sido atacada por cão e resolveu trazê-la té a clinica. O animal foi mantido em ambiente aquecido, e sob monitoralção, após inicio do tratamento clínico houve uma pequena melhora no caso seguida de uma posterior piora, onde o animal apresentou-se em estado de brumação no entanto foi constatado que o mesmo já estava em processo de óbito. As radiográfias foram confirmatórias de pneumonia, com base na anamnese, exame físico e exame complementar apresentados, iniciou-se o tratamento com Enrofloxacino 2,5% (5mg/kg/SID/IM) , Cetoprofeno 10mg (2mg/kg/SID/SC), Cerenia (1mg/kg/SID/SC), Gintamicina na nebulização (0,38ml + 15ml de Soro Fisiológico / 30min.).
