dc.description	Este artigo apresenta como tema central o estudo da vulnerabilidade do consumidor idoso diante das relações jurídicas que os vinculam. O objetivo do trabalho foi analisar as normas previstas na legislação brasileira relativas à proteção do idoso, tendo em vista que, o idoso ao inserir no mercado de consumo, consequentemente figura como parte vulnerável, suscetíveis a práticas abusivas. Diante disso, a efetividade da proteção do consumidor é visivelmente instável. Sob esse viés, foi premente compreender quais são as medidas previstas no ordenamento jurídico para assegurar a defesa do idoso. A partir disso, foi apresentado um conjunto de normas e princípios para garantir os direitos da pessoa idosa, bem como instrumentos aptos a solucionar possíveis fraudes em desfavor do consumidor idoso. Para tanto, como forma de abordagem do estudo, utilizou-se de procedimentos metodológicos qualitativos, pois, buscou compreender se há concretização das normas referentes aos direitos do consumidor idoso, sendo a pesquisa exploratória com levantamento bibliográfico.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	This article presents as its central theme the study of the vulnerability of elderly consumers in the face of legal relationships that bind them. The objective of the work was to analyze the norms foreseen in the Brazilian legislation regarding the protection of the elderly, considering that, when entering the consumer market, the elderly person appears as a vulnerable part, susceptible to abusive practices. Therefore, the effectiveness of consumer protection is visibly unstable. Under this bias, it was urgent to understand the measures provided for in the legal system to ensure the defense of the elderly. From that, a set of norms and principles to guarantee the rights of the elderly person was presented, as well as instruments able to solve possible frauds to the detriment of the elderly consumer. Therefore, as a way of approaching the study, qualitative methodological procedures were used, as it sought to understand if there is a realization of the norms referring to the rights of the elderly consumer, being the exploratory research with a bibliographic survey.	pt_BR
