Abstract:
The proposed work aims to carry out an analysis of preventive detention in Brazil, highlighting
its intersection with structural racism. The goal is to investigate how excessive application and,
often, indiscriminate of this precautionary measure contributes to mass incarceration of the
black population, reflecting and perpetuating systemic discrimination.

interseção com o racismo estrutural. O objetivo é investigar como a aplicação excessiva e,
muitas vezes, indiscriminada dessa medida cautelar contribui para o encarceramento em massa
