Abstract

This scientific article addresses the significant issue of cost reduction in the context of a company operating in the parts and services sector for heavy vehicles. Effective inventory management is crucial to optimizing financial resources and maximizing operational efficiency. In this study, strategies and recommended practices for reducing inventory costs are explored, highlighting the importance of a systematic approach and the implementation of advanced technologies, such as inventory management systems and demand forecasting. The research addresses supply chain management and its integration with Industry 4.0 technologies, considering the strategic importance of this intersection in a highly competitive market. The results highlight the importance of integrating the supply chain with Industry 4.0 to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve inventory management and proactively address risks. The research highlights that adapting to this new reality is essential for companies. It is concluded that effective supply chain management, combined with integration with Industry 4.0, is crucial for organizations seeking to remain competitive.
