Abstract:
A atual conjuntura econômico-social mundial nos faz refletir como a escassez de recursos naturais, a poluição oriunda dos processos industriais e construtivos e o descarte incorreto de materiais não biodegradáveis tem estimulado a aplicação dos conceitos de sustentabilidade como estratégia na busca pela redução dos impactos ambientais provocados pelas ações humanas ao longo das gerações – impactos esses que têm se tornado cada vez mais notórios e substanciais no cenário contemporâneo. Com essa mudança de paradigma, os arquitetos são peça fundamental no processo de conscientização da sociedade, propondo soluções e ferramentas orientadas para atender, não mais ao mercado, mas às necessidades dos usuários, unindo estética, funcionalidade e qualidade de vida à sustentabilidade. Nesse contexto, o presente projeto propõe o estudo de viabilidade acerca da construção de um Centro de Pesquisa de Bioconstrução e de um Pavilhão expositivo e interativo de Bioarquitetura no Instituto Cultural Inhotim, contribuindo assim para a difusão do conhecimento à comunidade do município de Brumadinho-MG e todo o entorno. Com isso, espera-se tornar mais palpável aos olhos da sociedade as vantagens das práticas bioconstrutivas, sua viabilidade técnica e econômica e, ainda, romper o “pré-conceito” que associa essas técnicas à ideia de precariedade. Tal visibilidade propiciaria, para além dos impactos almejados já citados, o desenvolvimento de novos estudos e tecnologias, enriquecendo cada vez mais a bioarquitetura. As informações aqui apresentadas são fruto de revisões bibliográficas e de campo, visitas técnicas, contatos pessoais, telefônicos e por e-mail com o Instituto Inhotim e comunidade adjacente, que endossarão as análises e argumentos elaborados ao longo da pesquisa.
