dc.description	A escola consiste em um ambiente social no qual cada indivíduo possui sua própria realidade, sendo função da escola preparar cada um de seus estudantes para à vida dentro de uma sociedade, sendo necessário para que tal fato ocorra com o desempenho adequado, é de suma importância que dentro do ambiente escolar estejam inseridos profissionais capacitados que vão além do corpo docente. É neste cenário que se verifica a importância de um profissional capacitado para lidar com as questões sociais inerentes a educação e que são vivenciadas dentro das instituições escolares. Sendo assim, o presente estudo consiste no resultado da análise de trabalhos desenvolvidos sobre a inserção e o papel do Assistente Social dentro do contexto educacional brasileiro, verificando sua inserção dentro das políticas de educação, verificando-se as conclusões de produções científicas de alguns autores, cujo maior objetivo consistiu em compreender a importância do Assistente Social dentro das escolas e como estes devem atuar segundo a legislação vigente destro destas organizações. Assim se buscará demonstrar como esse profissional pode vir a contribuir juntamente com a equipe multiprofissional escolar, propondo métodos e estratégias por meio de seu conhecimento técnico, realizando desta forma, uma mediação entre família/escola/sociedade. Além disso serão apontados alguns dos desafios que o Assistente Social enfrenta dentro do ambiente escolar durante sua atuação profissional, e como este profissional pode contribuir com ações que tornem a educação uma prática de inclusão social, formação da cidadania e emancipação sociais. Sendo assim, o presente artigo se fundamenta dentro de uma pesquisa bibliográfica acerca da temática, buscando entender o que alguns autores tem discutindo sobre a inserção desse profissional dentro das escolas.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	The school consists of a social environment in which each individual has their own reality, and the school's function is to prepare each of its students for life within a society, being necessary for this to occur with adequate performance, it is of paramount importance that within the school environment there are qualified professionals who go beyond the teaching staff. It is in this scenario that the importance of a professional trained to deal with the social issues inherent to education and that are exp erienced within school institutions is evident. Therefore, the present study consists of the result of the analysis of work developed on the insertion and role of the Social Worker within the Brazilian educational context, verifying its insertion within education policies, verifying the conclusions of scientific productions by some authors, whose main objective was to understand the importance of Social Workers within schools and how they should act according to current legislation within these organization s. Thus, we will seek to demonstrate how this professional can contribute together with the school multidisciplinary team, proposing methods and strategies through their technical knowledge, thus carrying out mediation between family/school/society. In addition, some of the challenges that Social Workers face within the school environment during their professional activities will be highlighted, and how this professional can contribute to actions that make education a practice of social inclusion, citizensh ip formation and social emancipation. Therefore, this article is based on bibliographical research on the subject, seeking to understand what some authors have discussed about the insertion of this professional within schools.	pt_BR
