LOGÍSTICA REVERSA DE PRODUTOS ELETRÔNICOS: Nova lei para o recolhimento de produtos eletrônicos

Abstract

Amid constant technological development, both organizations and people tend to follow this evolution. As a result of this process, damaged and/or obsolete devices are disposed of, that is, what we call “electronic waste”. Due to the characteristics of these components that are used in electronic equipment, greater control is needed at the time of disposal. As they are materials that are harmful to the environment and also to human health, this study sought to analyze how the population disposes of electronic waste and is aware of LAW No. 12.305, OF AUGUST 2, 2010, which among so many determinations brings the responsibility of electronics manufacturers to carry out reverse logistics to ensure correct final disposal. Through a survey, we obtained a sample of the behavior and level of information that people have on the subject, in addition to reviewing some literature to obtain information about reverse logistics processes. With the survey that included 146 participants, it can be observed that 61.6% of respondents are unaware of the disposal procedure, which causes people to behave incorrectly and responsibilities in promoting reverse logistics is far from ideal.
