UMA ANÁLISE DAS PERCEPÇÕES DOS PSICÓLOGOS A RESPEITO DOS EFEITOS DE SEU TRABALHO NA ASSISTÊNCIA SOCIAL

Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the perceptions of the psychologists working in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) about the effects of their work on this system. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, using the qualitative approach, carried out in a convenience sample, having as a data collection technique the structured questionnaire with four psychologists in the Grande Vitória / ES System. Material analysis was performed through interpretive data analysis. The results showed that the greatest effect of the psychologist's role in SUAS is the materialization of the search for the qualification of life of all individuals assisted in contexts so different from each other, through psychosocial mediation, given the unique content of the science and profession of Psychology , in favor of the effective protection due and the recommendation of the Social Assistance Policy. The study points to the necessity and importance of other studies and researches on the focused theme, for a better understanding of the problem, although quite recurrent in the numerous studies, since new and extended results of investigations about the object of study may strengthen the professionals who work in the area of Social Assistance, in this process of consolidation of Social Assistance Policy, given the reality of violation of the guarantee of social rights.
