SAÚDE MENTAL NA GESTAÇÃO: A IMPORTÂNCIA DA ASSISTÊNCIA DA ENFERMAGEM

Abstract

Pregnancy is a unique period in women's lives, which brings many challenges, overcomes and changes in family dynamics. There is a high prevalence of mental disorders identified in the prenatal period until the postpartum period that affect women's health. Motherhood is a construction with unique and challenging experiences for many women, therefore the presence of family support and a multidisciplinary team are very important throughout this process to ease and guide the trajectory. The objective of this work is to highlight in the literature the role of nurses in mental health care during pregnancy until the postpartum period, as well as verify/detect the main problems and risk factors related to the period from pregnancy to the postpartum period. Through the integrative literature review methodology, which is a type of study that brings together and discusses information already produced by other authors in a given area of study.
