A pressão imposta pela concorrência no mercado e os clientes cada vez mais exigentes,
faz com que as empresas busquem diferentes métodos de gestão de qualidade
que possam alavancar o desenvolvimento de seus empreendimentos e assim comprovar
a qualidade de um produto junto ao mercado e aos clientes, e assim obter um
diferencial entre os concorrentes. Neste contexto, o Ciclo PDCA surge para promover
a melhoria contínua dos processos, otimizar o tempo de realização dos trabalhos e
reduzir as despesas. Com base na importância deste método, o presente trabalho tem
como objetivo analisar a aplicação de diretrizes e ferramentas para melhoria da qualidade
e lucratividade em uma obra comercial destinada a locação para eventos. Para
que o objetivo fosse alcançado utilizou-se um abordagem quali-quantitativa para a
coleta de dados, bem como o método dedutivo para processamento e análise de resultados.
No trabalho utilizou-se o conceito de pesquisa-ação, pois houve o envolvimento
do pesquisador com o objeto de estudo, participando de forma ativa na a
implementação do sistema na empresa. É notável que além de auxiliar o engenheiro,
o mestre de obra e os gestores no desenvolvimento de melhorias contínuas na obra,
esse ciclo também permite identificar problemas e oportunidades de desenvolvimento
e evolução no processo de construção. Com ele a eficiência dos trabalhos e a produtividade
do canteiro de obras são aumentadas, fazendo com que o custo do projeto
seja reduzido e a lucratividade da empresa alavancada. Além de permitir que problemas
que venham a surgir e causar imprevistos e irregularidades futuras possa ser
identificado e resolvido inicialmente. Com sua implementação problemas como falta
de segurança, desorganização, desperdício de materiais e grande produção de resíduos
de construção incialmente encontrados por meio da observação da obra ao
longo de cinco meses, obtiveram resultados satisfatórios. O Ciclo PDCA foi utilizado
na concretagem, no layout da obra, nas normas de segurança e na geração de resíduos
de construção, no entanto, o mesmo também pode ser implantado em qualquer
projeto de construção, do mais simples ao mais complexo. Outro fator importante é
que ele criou na equipe responsável pela obra um senso de comprometimento em
relação aos processos e resultados, pois as melhorias proporcionam aos envolvidos
o sentimento de valorização e participação do processo de transformação.
