Abstract

This course conclusion work has as its theme the role of social workers in CRAS and combating poverty and social vulnerability in the municipality of Irupi-ES, for this it is necessary to understand the definition of both. Poverty in Brazil is currently a historical phenomenon that has been growing significantly in recent years. Therefore, to face this problem, it is essential to understand the origins of the Social Work profession in the world and in Brazil, explaining its struggles to the present day, and how Social Workers can help in the fight against poverty and social vulnerability. Therefore, the general objective of this project is to understand the role of the Social Worker at CRAS in Irupi-ES and the specific objective is to understand the concept of social vulnerability and poverty, the role of the Social Worker in confronting vulnerability and poverty. In view of these objectives, it was necessary to address data from the last 3 years in the municipality of Irupi-ES with regard to poverty and social vulnerability and to obtain a reliable answer, a questionnaire was prepared on Google Forms regarding the services offered by the municipality's CRAS. and it was noticed that there are several programs and benefits to combat poverty and social vulnerability in the municipality, but because they are not publicized to such an extent, many of these programs are not recognized by the population, such as the Family Protection and Comprehensive Assistance Service – PAIF and Coexistence and Bond Strengthening Service – SCFV.
